“According to your faith will it be done to you.”

                                -Mathew 9:29

In this verse we understand that even if our situation looks hopeless we must remember that Christ can do the impossible according to our faith.

Two blind men have recognized that Jesus is the Messiah and called Him by the name Son of David. They have asked Him to have mercy on them, to receive their sight. (Mathew 9:27). Jesus did not respond immediately to the blind men’s pleas. He wanted to see if they have faith. Sometimes not everyone who says they want help really believes God can help them. When you think that God is too slow in answering your prayers consider that he might be testing our faith. These blind men were persistent. They went right into the house where Jesus was staying. They knew Jesus could heal them and didn’t allow anyone to stop them calling Jesus and reaching Him.

Jesus asked them if they truly believe in His power to heal and they responded yes. Jesus touches their blind eyes and told them that their faith is the reason for their restoration of sight. They are healed completely according to their faith. The compassion of Jesus for his children is revealed. He also wanted to bring spiritual healing to everyone in this sinful world.

Let us believe that God will fulfill His promises and that his words have awesome power. He wants our trust and faith. Even if we are in a severe crisis it is the level of our faith that brings miracles in our lives. Hebrews 11:6, says without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We have to humble ourselves enough like the blind men, and surrender to our Lord God, to receive miracles. Let’s keep trusting in the Lord always in every situation.
