I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.  Ezek 37:26

                God’s promise here goes beyond the physical and geographical restoration of Israel. He promises to breathe new spiritual life into his people so that their hearts and attitudes will be right with Him and with every mankind. This same process is described throughout God’s word as the cleansing and renewing of our hearts by God’s spirit.

                Peace and Reconciliation is made between God and his people by the blood of Christ. He is making an everlasting covenant with us and it shall never be abolished. A new covenant of Peace; could not at all agree with the ancient covenant. The whole history of the Jewish nation is nothing more than a series of war and continual divisions. But Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, is the mediator who gives us that true peace.

                Also he will set up a spiritual glorious temple and worship among us, who are His chosen people. By his grace he will make us holy, as the people of a holy God; when we are restored to a state of favor and acceptance with God, it will be a work of providence and the heathen people shall join us to the truthful word of God.

                We have received an unchangeable covenant of Grace and Peace, so that we will be placed in an established position, no longer unsettled as before. He will bless and multiply us.

                You might have journeyed through lots of battles in your lives like Israelites, but God is going to restore what all we have lost and lead us in peace.
