The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

  Isaiah 35:1

After a prediction God’s judgement on all nation, for rejecting God this chapter is a beautiful picture of the final victory that God will establish and also will destroy all evil.

In the previous chapter Isaiah 34, he spoke of great distress when God will judge all people for their actions. But we have a glimpse of relief and restoration when we turn to God with faithfulness.

Our lives will be peaceful and things will be made right. Turning to God helps us to rejoice greatly and be filled with his glory. The glory of Lebanon will be given to us, which consisted in the strength and stateliness of its cedars, together with the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. Also Carmel and Sharon are symbols of productivity and plenty, and the more we see by faith the glory of God and the excellency of our Lord, the more joyful and more fruitful we shall be.

Assurance is also given to us that God will appear for us against our enemies. He will come in the fullness of time, to take vengeance on the powers of darkness, to spoil them and to recompense those that mourn in lion with abundant comforts.

He will come and save us wonders shall be brought on everyone. By the word and spirit of God, those that were spiritually blind were enlighted, those that were deaf were made to hear, those that were dumb and knew not how to speak of God or to God, having their own understandings opened to know Him, shall thereby have their lips opened to show forth His praise. The tongue of the dumb shall sing for joy, the joy of God’s salvation; Praise shall be perfected out from everyone.

The spirit shall be poured out from on high. These were the foundations of life opened, streams flowed, that watered the earth abundantly. So those who are heavily laden under the burden of guilt, and under devine wrath, shall be comforted, and be filled with godliness. They shall walk in the highway which is called a way of holiness and never again go into the desert of suffering.

God will walk with us and simply always beside us as we are redeemed from sin, guilt and all evil powers. Everlasting joy of our Lord is upon us and sorrow and sighing shall flee away forever and ever.

                                                                                God bless you all.
