Christian life is like a race. Jesus Christ supplies the resources for
us to press on toward the goal. Christ’s goals should be our goal. The winner
receives an award of everlasting glory.
The main aspects we have to exercise are self-control, self-denial, and
love with regard to others. We must not be a ‘castaway’. If we fail the test or
reject the test, we may fail to obtain the prize of final salvation.
Living a holy – life, exercising self- control and enduring hard hips
for Christ lead us to obtain what is being kept for us. We the partakers of
divine grace should not be rejected by God because of evil conduct. Obedience
to the word of god, experiencing close fellowship with Christ, divinely
sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit we gain the incorruptible crown.
God is faithful and will provide a way, and give sufficient power to
finish the race.
Run the race amidst trials
Run the race amidst temptations
Run the race amidst affliction
Run the race amidst discouragement
You have the crown of righteousness
