I will rejoice in the Lord. (Habakkuk 3:18).
Habakkuk testifies that he served God not for what he gave, but because
He was God. Even in the midst of judgement on Judah, Habakkuk chose to rejoice
in the Lord. He knows God would be his salvation and an unfailing source of
strength.
To rejoice in the Lord is to put our trust in Him and to praise Him with
songs. We must also rejoice in the way of His testimonies as much as in all
riches. In Isaiah 41:16, God makes us to thresh the mountains, and make the
hills as chaff. Also we shall fan them and the whirlwind shall scatter them and
we shall rejoice in the Lord and glorify the Holy one of Israel.
All who lead a righteous life may rejoice and praise. To rejoice God
must revive us. Salvation and spiritual life are dependent upon God imparting
to us His Mercy, power, forgiveness and fervent desire to do His will. When we
pray, God will revive us again and we shall rejoice.
Let us rejoice joyfully and praise the Holy one of Israel.
