Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. We
must keep the day Holy as it is Holy unto us. (Exodus 31:14) and should not be
defiled. Holy means setting it apart as different from other days, in order to
rest, to serve God and to honour him. Sabbath is a sign between God and his
children. In six days He made heavens and the earth and on the seventh day he
rested and so wants us to observe as a covenant. So let us call the Sabbath a
delight, honourable, Holy and thus shall honour God by not going in our own
ways.
God promises to lift us higher and higher in
all our works, and deeds and also feed us with the heritage of Jacob our forefather.
God’s deliverance from our sins and bondages, gives an opportunity to obey him
fully, obedience in keeping the Sabbath.
God bless you
