The Just shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4).
The Lord stated that though the world is dominated by evil and wicked,
that would be destroyed and the only people not shaken would be the righteous
and also those who live by faith.
It is the “just" or the righteous, who at the end will emerge
victorious. The righteous are contrasted with the proud and the ungodly whose
lives are not upright. The hearts of the righteous are turned to God and they
desire to be his children to have close fellowship with Him and to obey His Will.
The righteous must live in this world by faith in God. Here faith means
a steadfast trust in God, a personal loyalty to Him as Saviour, to follow His
ways.
Faith involves repentance, obedience to God and his words, and it
includes a heartfelt personal devotion, commitment. Only this faith brings us
into a new relationship with God and exempts us from wrath. (Romans 1:18).
Let us have faith in Christ our Saviour, the only way for our Salvation.
