Jesus said, “You are the Light of the World”. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-15)

We cannot hide a city that is sitting on top a hill. Its light at night can be seen for miles. If we live for Jesus Christ, we will also glow like lights, showing others what Christ is like. Many Christians today are hidden from sight, reluctant to be identified as Christians. Such a Christian is like a light that never gives light. If a lamp doesn`t help people see it as worthless. Our life must show other people how to find god and how to live for him, resentment, embarrassment, and stubbornness of heart or disobedience could keep us from shining. Even worries of this life could hinder. Our focus should be on the truthful world of god. The light of Jesus truth is revealed to us. As we obey and put god’s teaching into practice, our light will shine. Your will not be hidden anymore.

Let it shine all the time.
