Your head will be anointed with oil and your cup will overflow. (Psalm 23:5)

Our Lord is our shepherd who leads us, and so will enjoy goodness all through our life. He is our good shepherd and with us always, so we lack nothing. As the flocks lie down in green pastures, He feeds us with His Words and provides us with Waters of Resting places. These Waters indicate the Holy Spirit; it gives refreshment and well-being.

Every day He revives and refreshes our spirit .As a shepherd leads his sheep in paths that are safe, secure and prosperous. The prosperity of every one of us will bring honour to the name of our Lord.

Our Lord has the rod and staff, the instruments of authority, and support, for guiding, rescuing, and protecting us. Above all He prepares a table for us with a meal expressive of the bond of friendship. Also anoints our head with oil as a customary treatment of an honoured guest.

We may have enemies like David ever in pursuit of us, but we have the goodness and unfailing love of our shepherd always.

Throughout the years we will dwell in the house of our Lord enjoying a long blessed life.
