Show me the ways, O Lord. (Psalm 25:4)

The psalmist longed intensely to know God`s ways like Moses. (Exodus 33:13).

It is possible for every one of us to know something about God`s acts.(salvation, miracles, psalm 103:7), but never really to know God or to understand His ways which is the principles of wisdom by which He works in us and guides us. The basic principles for knowing God`s ways in this Psalm are the following:

 1. We must have a sincere desire to be led into the righteous ways of God and the truth of His Word.

2. We must be eager to wait upon God “all the day".

3. We must humbly submit to God, commit ourselves to Godly living and fear the Lord.

4. Since sin is the barrier to knowing God and his ways, we must forsake sin and be cleansed and forgiven. “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." (1 John 2:1-6)

5. Adversity in our lives is not necessarily a sign of God`s disfavour. Knowing God and his ways may lead us into suffering and loss that we would not have otherwise encountered. The ultimate example of this truth is Jesus himself who followed God`s Will, yet suffered, sorrow, betrayal, and the Cross.

Every one of us abiding in the Will of God may go through the same path but in the end we will be blessed and be filled with God`s presence and Glory.

God bless you all.

You will grow like a Lilly

You will cast forth your roots like Lebanon

Your beauty shall be as the Olive tree.
