It is good and pleasant for brothers to live in unity (Psalm 133:1_3)
There is a great
spiritual truth in this psalm. God wants unity among His people. Jesus also
prayed that His followers would be established in love, holiness, and unity. If
there is divisions based on sin and selfish ambitions, Holy Spirit cannot dwell
and operate in their midst.
First we need fervent
love, for God and one another. Then we must be sanctified by the word of God.
After that we receive the anointing and God`s nearness. The oil of Aaron`s
anointing ran down on his priestly robes, signifying his total consecration to
God Almighty. Similarly when God fills us with His presence, we are sanctified.
Finally, we are blessed
for dwelling together in unity. The abundant dew on Mt. Hermon would make Mount
Zion richly fruitful. Also gives life. In the same manner we receive the
anointing when we are in unity and become richly fruitful.
Let us receive the rich
blessings by living in unity.
