Cross became a symbol for the sacrifice and for the death of self to the
world. Crucifixion developed into a form capital punishment.
The Crucifixion of Jesus occurred by divine necessity. The cross becomes
his throne; and for us cross is the basis for salvation. Through cross we have
‘place’ and also a new access to the father. The demonize powers are disarmed
and Satan is defeated.
By meditating cross and Crucifixion we see, there is a call to complete
surrender to God. As we find in (Galatians 5:24 ) self- centered desires are nailed to the cross, worldly interests (Gal
6:14) are dead in cross. In (2 Corinthians 5:14 - 17) –we live by putting to death the old self and putting on the new.
Cross is for –Redemption
Cross is for – propitiation
Cross is for – justification
The power of death is broken and salvation is poured out on all people.
Cross proved the greatest defeat of Satan.
